Hot Pepper Rings
Hot Pepper Rings 1 peck (basket) Hungarian Wax Peppers: cut into rings 1 cup sugar 1 cup oil 1 cup White Vinegar 1 keg (32 oz) catsup or Ketchup Put all ingredients except peppers into large canning pot, heat until dissolved. Pour peppers in sauce, bring to a boil-then cook 12 min. Put into HOT sterlized jars (keep the hot in a 200 degree oven while filling them) Use hot lids to seal. KEEP PEPPERS HOT AND BOILING WHILE FILLING JARS!! Makes about 6 quarts or about 12 pints This is an awesome recipe to put on a roast when baking it!!! |
